CGC-certified Kevin Durant Logoman Booklet Realizes $84,000 in August Fanatics Collect Auctions

Posted on 09/09/2025

Other highlights in recent auctions included a Fleer #57 Michael Jordan graded CGC 9.5, an Unlimited Black Lotus graded CGC Gem Mint 10 and a No Rarity Symbol Charizard.

A rarity tied to the 2017 NBA Finals that is certified by CGC$reg; realized more than $80,000 in Fanatics Collect's August Premier Auction, making it the fourth-highest price realized for any CGC-certified sports card sold on the auction platform. The one-of-one gem led the way among thousands of CGC-certified TCGs, sports cards and non-sports cards that were sold through the Fanatics Collect marketplace in August 2025.

The 2017-18 Panini Opulence NBA Finals Booklet #FIN-10 Kevin Durant - Logoman certified CGC Authentic realized $84,000 on August 28. During Durant's short stint with Golden State, he helped the Warriors win one of the team's four NBA championships of the 21st century. Named the 2017 NBA Finals MVP, he dominated the five championship games, scoring at least 30 points in each matchup. In Game 2 alone, Durant put up 33 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, five blocks and three steals. Being the only one of its kind, this booklet contains the actual NBA Finals patch from Durant's jersey, which he wore during his Game 2 heroics.

Another sports highlight from August's Fanatics Collect sales was a high-grade example of Michael Jordan's most sought-after card. A 1986-87 Fleer #57 Michael Jordan graded CGC 9.5 realized $30,000 on August 28. Known by collectors as his official mainstream rookie card, the 1986-87 Fleer #57 has become a holy grail of Jordan collectibles. With its legendary red, white, blue and yellow border and an iconic image of Jordan flying through the air about to dunk, this is arguably the most recognizable and coveted basketball card of all time.

Two CGC-certified TCGs realized five figures alongside the CGC-certified sports cards. A Black Lotus, Magic: The Gathering (1993) Unlimited Edition graded CGC Gem Mint 10 realized $37,200 on August 28. Although Unlimited Black Lotus cards are not as elusive as Alpha or Beta Edition variants, they are just as rare in such good condition. Out of the 146 examples of Unlimited Black Lotus recorded in the CGC Cards Population Report, only 11 of them are graded CGC Gem Mint 10, and only one graded CGC Pristine 10. Many Magic: The Gathering cards from the 1990s have not survived the 30-plus years of wear and tear caused by heavy TCG play and improper storage. What’s more, Black Lotus is part of the Power Nine — a group of nine MTG cards that Wizards of the Coast have vowed to never reprint. Altogether, there are not many chances to find a Black Lotus in such impressive condition.

Additionally, a Charizard, Pokémon (1996) Japanese Base Set Holo – No Rarity Symbol graded CGC 9 realized $19,999 on August 16. The first-ever print run of Base Set cards in the Japanese Pokémon TCG lacked a rarity symbol, usually found in the bottom right-hand corner of cards. Media Factory — the company that prints Japanese Pokémon cards — did not intend to print cards without rarity symbols. As soon as they discovered that the first print run of the Pokémon TCG lacked rarity symbols, they pulled the prints and revised them to include rarity symbols, making these No Rarity Symbol cards very rare in the secondary market.

Notable Upcoming Fanatics Collect Sales
