CGC-certified Authentic and Authentic Altered Cards Now Included in the Pop Report

CGC® is excited to announce that the CGC Cards Population Report has been updated to include Authentic (AU) and Authentic Altered (AA) designations. Previously, the Pop Report featured only numerically graded cards that were found on the Standard Card Grading Scale. Now, to better serve collectors, the Pop Report has been expanded to include all certifications of authentic TCGs, sports cards and non-sports cards!

Collectors do not need to do anything differently when they submit cards to CGC, but they now have the added peace of mind of knowing that no matter what grade or designation their collectibles receive, they can find their CGC-certified cards in the Population Report. Once cards are certified, encapsulated in CGC's industry-leading holders and returned to the collector, submitters can navigate the CGC Cards website to find their cards in the Population Report.

The AU designation is used for cards that are authentic and unaltered but are not given a numeric grade. The Authentic Altered designation is used for a card that is authentic but has been altered, and it is employed at CGC's discretion for cards with strong collector interest even in an altered state.
