CGC Cards Continues China Expansion with Attendance at Asia Sports Collectors Convention in Macau

CGC Cards is excited to announce its attendance at the Asia Sports Collectors Convention, at The Venetian in Macau SAR, China, on December 8-10, 2023. Representatives from CGC Cards and its affiliate NGC Hong Kong Ltd. (NGC Hong Kong) will be at booth #A8 accepting submissions of sports cards, trading card games (TCGs) and non-sports cards, as well as offering free card evaluations, answering questions and giving away awesome CGC Cards swag!

About the Asia Sports Collectors Convention

The Asia Sports Collectors Convention is the first sports card convention in Asia. Card collectors from around the globe will converge in one location to buy, sell, trade and discuss their favorite cards, with over 400 vendors participating in the show. In addition, the schedule includes panels, TCG competitions, box breaks and autograph sessions with sports and TCG stars.

The news that CGC Cards will attend and accept submissions at the Asia Sports Collectors Convention follows the announcement that CGC Cards will grade on-site in Shanghai in December. These events are only the beginning of CCG’s efforts to serve card collectors and dealers in China.

In addition to accepting submissions, CGC Cards will be on-site hosting giveaways and a Meet the Grader session with Andy Broome, CGC Cards Vice President and Senior Grading Finalizer for Sports Cards. As one of CGC Cards’ resident sports card expert, Broome has not only graded some extremely rare and important cards, but also helped to create the baseball card exhibit at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in the US.

During the show, Broome will also offer free sports card evaluations, providing insight on how professional graders evaluate cards. Come see him at booth #A8! Note: There is a limit of two card evaluations per person.

Grading fees

The following cards will be accepted at the event: TCGs, sports cards and non-sports cards sized 2-5/8 inches x 3-3/4 inches (6.6 cm x 9.5 cm) or smaller. Cards may be up to 7.25 mm thick. Preparing Submissions for the Show

The option to submit at the Asia Sports Collectors Convention will be available on the CGC Cards online submission form soon. To streamline submissions at the show, please take the following steps before arriving:

1. Become a CGC Cards member at any level. To join CGC Cards, click here.


2. Sign into your account and go to the online submission form. When filling out the form, select "Asia Sports Collectors Convention" from the dropdown menu. Note: This option will be available soon.


3. Complete the submission form and print the packing slips.
   
   Important: To ensure that your submission process stays on schedule, please place your collectibles in the order listed on the packing slip. Please bring BOTH copies of the packing slip with your collectibles to the show drop-off. Failure to do so will result in delays.
   
   
4. Keep your collectibles safe and secure until you drop off your submission (including the packing slips) with a representative.

Important: All submissions will be shipped with insurance to CGC Cards’ headquarters in Sarasota, Florida, for authentication, grading and encapsulation. Upon completion, submissions will be shipped back to the NGC Hong Kong office (again with insurance). Submitters are responsible for arranging to pick up their graded cards at the NGC Hong Kong office (by appointment only) or arranging shipment from the NGC Hong Kong office.
